Dexter Rowell is a Staff Attorney in the Guardian ad Litem program where he represents children in abuse and neglect cases in the District of Columbia. Dexter formerly served as a student practitioner at the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the public defender in Boston, where he represented youth in the criminal legal system. Dexter was a legal intern with The EdLaw project, representing families in education law matters. Dexter also worked as a legal intern at the AIDS Action Committee where he assisted tenants facing eviction. He spent time as a Law Clerk at Dain Torpy in Boston where he worked on commercial real estate matters. Dexter has a background in education. He has previously done college access work for Posse DC and KIPP DC.
