Leslie B. Kiernan


Leslie B. Kiernan is founder and managing partner at Kiernan PLLC where she represents individuals and entities in congressional investigations and government enforcement proceedings and advises clients on a wide-range of political law and government ethics-related compliance matters. She previously served as a senior advisor to the U.S. Mission to the United Nations during the 69th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Deputy Counsel to President Obama, and as counsel to the Office of the First Lady and to the White House Council on Women and Girls. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. Leslie joined the Children’s Law Center Board of Directors in 2017. She is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of Children’s National and Chair of its Enterprise Risk and Compliance Committee and has previously served on the Board of Trustees for the D.C. Public Defender Service. She is an enthusiastic amateur photographer and particularly enjoys photographing youth sports.
