Lisi joined the Children’s Law Center in 2021 as a bilingual investigator for the Healthy Together team, where she works alongside a team of attorneys to find and address children’s health barriers in housing, education, and other matters. Prior to her current position, Lisi spent a year as an Avodah Social Justice Corps member, during which she worked as a paralegal for the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) in Chicago. She is particularly focused on the nexus of immigration policy and social policy. While receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Lisi worked with undocumented students to write an award-winning thesis analyzing the relationship between undocumented college students and education policy. Lisi’s bilingual skills in both English and Spanish allow her to work closely with the diverse populations served by the Center.
