Shannon D. Smith

Shannon contributes to the work of CLC by designing and implementing organization wide initiatives that require detailed project planning, continual data collection and analysis and effective change management systems that contribute to the building of an inclusive learning organization. Prior to coming to CLC, Shannon was at the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at American University working to bring about holistic student success, community building and a sense of belonging through education, training and programming. Experiences before that include working at Howard University with a focus on engaging with student leadership development and programming as well as working at City Year Inc. in Washington, DC to combat the K-12 school to prison pipeline through supplemental education, community service and mentorship.
