Sophia is the Development Assistant for Individual Giving on Children’s Law Center’s Development team, working closely with CLC’s individual donors and Kite Club members. Sophia first joined Children’s Law Center in January 2019 as a Development Intern and has since transitioned into a full-time role on the Development team following her graduation from American University in May 2020. During her senior year of college, Sophia completed a year-long honors capstone project that examined sexual violence committed during World War II. She also served as the External Director for EagleTHON, American University’s dance marathon that raises funds and awareness for Children’s National Hospital. Before joining Children’s Law Center, she interned in a Senate office and at The HALO Trust. She also spent a semester abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia and speaks Russian.
