Teresa Harmon

Teresa Harmon joined Children’s Law Center in 2023 as a Staff Attorney in the Pro Bono program. She is responsible for representing third-party caregivers and the best interests of children as Guardian ad Litem in contested custody matters. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center, Teresa worked for TeamChild in Yakima, Washington, where she provided civil legal services to low-income youth and young adults. This included representing youth in education, record sealing, and custody cases. As a law student, Teresa developed an interest and commitment to supporting children and families in her community. She interned at the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children and the division of the Department of Public Defense in Seattle, WA handling child abuse and neglect cases. During law school Teresa also volunteered at the Family Law Self Help Center at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
