William Cox

William Cox is a senior attorney who provides comprehensive legal representation to children in DC’s abuse and neglect system. William joined the Guardian ad Litem program in 2022. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center, William practiced family and immigration law as a fellow with the D.C. Affordable Law Firm, as well as juvenile law as a staff attorney with Legal Aid of Nebraska. While a law student, William worked as a student attorney in the Georgetown University Law Center’s Domestic Violence Clinic where he helped domestic violence survivors obtain civil protection orders. He was also a Public Interest Fellow and a recipient of the Tutorial Program Award.
