Thomas Carpenter
Thomas Carpenter joined the Appellate team as a paralegal in March of 2023. He previously worked for the Department of Justice’s Fraud Section as an investigative paralegal in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) Unit and then as the sole paralegal for their Appellate team. His work has included securing some of the largest fines from corrupt corporations in the history of the DOJ, as well as ensuring those who have defrauded Medicare and the Federal Pandemic Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) are held accountable in the Appellate Courts. Thomas has also helped organize working class tenants in NW DC to fight for better living conditions from their landlords. As an undergraduate, Thomas served as a congressional intern to Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), representing Memphis, TN.
