Marcus Goode, MBA, is the Individual Philanthropy Officer at Children’s Law Center. With over a decade of experience in fundraising and development, Marcus brings a wealth of expertise to his role. He has a proven track record of successfully conceptualizing and executing revenue-driven strategies, establishing strategic partnerships, and streamlining donor engagement and outreach efforts.

As the Director of Development for the Howard University School of Business, Marcus cultivated meaningful relationships with alumni, influential corporations, private foundations, and government leaders. His strategic efforts advanced the Dean’s vision through philanthropic support, focusing on fostering inclusivity through partnerships that optimize students’ skill sets, introduce unique extracurricular programs, amplify career placement opportunities, and expand scholarship offerings.

Prior to joining Howard University, Marcus held roles within esteemed organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the United Way of the National Capital Area. In these traditional nonprofit spaces, he spearheaded comprehensive fundraising plans and drove the growth of key programs. His leadership included working closely with senior executives to facilitate year-round engagement opportunities with high-net-worth donors and prospects.

In pursuit of continuous growth, Marcus completed his MBA program at the Howard University School of Business, demonstrating his dedication to ongoing learning and professional development. In addition, he holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University.
