Testimony: Chronic Absenteeism and Truancy

Children’s Law Center Senior Policy Attorney Danielle Robinette testified before the Committe of the Whole with an update regarding the District’s response to the persistently high rates of chronic absenteeism. The testimony recommends several improvements to attendance data collection and encourages the Council to increase engagement among DC government agencies outside the education cluster.
