FY22 Budget Testimony: DC Health

June 11, 2021

Children’s Law Center Policy Director Sharra E. Greer testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Health about the Department of Health, sharing the need to continue to expand HealthySteps in DC, home visiting, and Resilient Communities District of Columbia. As a member of the Early Childhood Innovation Network (ECIN), the Under 3 DC coalition and the Home Visiting Council, and through our work, we’ve seen the importance of critical programs like HealthySteps DC and home visiting to the health and well-being of DC’s children. We urge the Council to continue to invest in these programs in order to meet the comprehensive needs of all vulnerable families in the District.
