Testimony: The Department of Human Services’ Rapid Re-Housing Program, Diana Sisson
Diana Sisson is part of CLC’s medical legal partnership, an innovative collaboration between pediatricians and lawyers where lawyers become part of the medical team on site at health clinics at Children’s National Health System, Unity and Mary’s Center. CLC works in health centers in wards 1, 4, 7 and 8, and I am on site at the Children’s Health Center at Anacostia. While working with clients in these centers, Diana has seen that the current Rapid Re-Housing program is broken at every step and that the program leaves the families she has worked with feeling alone, ignored, and unsafe.
