Testimony: Child and Family Services Agency Oversight (FY17)
Senior Policy Attorney Damon King testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Human Services regarding the FY2016 performance of the District’s Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA). Damon’s testimony focused on three main areas that have been challenging for the Agency over the last few years:
- Concerns about the Agency’s foster care re-design, including its potential effects on the availability of foster homes;
- In-home and prevention services, including concerns about the Agency’s planned re-design of prevention services; and
- Recent and anticipated changes to older youth and aftercare services.
