Julie Edwards-Ransom
Julie Edwards-Ransom is a Supervising Attorney in the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program, supervising staff attorneys who provide comprehensive legal representation to children in D.C. ‘s abuse and neglect system. She maintains a partial caseload of abuse and neglect cases. She joined Children’s Law Center in 2021 and prior to that worked at Maryland Legal Aid in Prince George’s County representing children and youth in child welfare cases. During law school, she interned at Children’s Law Center as well as the ABA Center on Children and the Law, the Public Defender Service of DC and First Star. As a law student she also participated in the Neighborhood Law and Policy Clinic focusing on expungement issues. Prior to law school she served two years with City Year D.C.
