FY22 Oversight Testimony: Department of Health Care Finance
Children’s Law Center Policy Director Sharra E. Greer testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Health about the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF). Sharra commended DHCF and the DC Council for making investments that seek to ensure all DC residents have successful birthing experiences and postpartum care, including extending Medicaid postpartum coverage. She also urged DHCF to seize the opportunity to transform DC’s behavioral healthcare system for children and families as the agency initiates several major changes, including integrating behavioral health into MCOs.
