Markia’s Journey

When we first met Markia she was four years old. She was frequently being hospitalized for medical neglect and wasn’t able to walk or talk. Children’s Law Center worked to find her a permanent home with her great aunt and great uncle, get her the medical care she deserved and make sure she had the support she needed to succeed at school. Now Markia is six years old. She loves walking, playing soccer, riding her bike and enjoys her new school and teacher.
