Bisnow: CLC Celebrates Covington’s Tony Herman

To honor outgoing Children’s Law Center board chair Tony Herman, Covington & Burling LLP, where Herman is a senior litigator, set up a special “Tony Herman Adoption Litigation Fund” at Children’s Law Center. Herman, an adoptive parent, has long had a commitment to children. Legal Bisnow attended the special reception for Herman and reported on the event.

Judith first met Tony at a soccer field watching their sons play together. They bonded over their shared experiences as adoptive parents. After Judith learned about Tony’s commitment to legal aid and closing the justice gap, she eventually asked him to join CLC’s board. That long involvement culminated in Tony serving as CLC board chair for four years, a position from which he stepped down a couple of months ago.
