CLC’s Sean Staples Appointed Magistrate Judge
Sean Staples, Children’s Law Center’s Guardian ad Litem Project Director, has been appointed a magistrate judge and in January he will join Family Court at DC’s Superior Court. As the GAL Project Director, Staples managed more than half of CLC’s 80-person staff, including dozens of attorneys who represent foster children’s best interests in Family Court. Staples joined CLC as a senior supervising attorney in 2006. Before that, Staples had experience as a criminal defense attorney and public defender. He also clerked for Associate Judge Robert E. Morin of DC Superior Court.
