DC Bar Foundation: Legal Beat February 2015

The DC Bar Foundation covered Children’s Law Center’s December Superior Court Tour. Conducted by Pro Bono Director Nancy Drane and Families First Program investigator Jarrod Forgues Schlenker, the tour showed attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff what it is like to practice family law in the District. The tour included stops at different locations in the courthouse relevant to family law practitioners.

“The court tour is an important part of our pro bono training program,” Drane said. “Our goals are to demystify family law practice and give attorneys a window into how their pro bono service makes such a difference for D.C.’s most vulnerable children and families.”
