Legal Times: Children’s Law Center Clients, Attorneys Celebrate Adoption Day
Legal Times‘ coverage of Adoption Day 2012, where judges signed final decrees of adoption for dozens of families, features Children’s Law Center clients and attorneys. Zoe Tillman spoke to client Rhonda Stanley, who adopted her grandchildren Da’Ja and Da’Quan; Maureen Japha, the Covington and Burling loaned associate who brought the case to finalization; and Gary Morgans, a pro bono attorney from Steptoe & Johnson who also represented a case that closed at Adoption Day.
“It’s an emotional day, to see all these families and what they’ve gone through to get to this place,” Japha said.
