Leading Children’s Advocates to Discuss DC’s FY18 Budget

Audio Press Briefing Set for Thursday Morning

 

On the day Mayor Muriel Bowser will give her State of the District Address, and just a few days before she releases her FY18 budget, leading advocates for DC’s children and families will hold an audio press briefing to discuss the budget priorities that would improve the health and wellbeing of young children and families in the District. The briefing will be at:

10 am on Thursday, March 30

Ed Lazere, Executive Director, DC Fiscal Policy Institute

Among the topics these experts will discuss are home visitation, TANF and early intervention services for infants and toddlers. They also will talk about District revenues, the need to delay tax cuts, and what President Trump’s FY18 budget blueprint may mean for DC.
