Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, will be the featured speaker at a breakfast Wednesday sponsored by Children’s Law Center, DC’s largest nonprofit legal services provider. Fauci will discuss the emergence and re-emergence of infectious diseases and the role that government, research and community play in keeping children and families healthy. The breakfast will be at:

Children’s Law Center plays a critical role in connecting low-income children and families in the District to health care and community supports – a vital part of the strategy to improve public health. At the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Fauci oversees an extensive research portfolio of basic and applied research to prevent, diagnose and treat infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections and tuberculosis as well as emerging diseases such as Zika. He has advised five Presidents and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on HIV/AIDS and other health issues.
