WAMU: Bill Would Require D.C. To Evaluate Special Education Students More Quickly

WAMU 88.5 reported that Executive Director Judith Sandalow, along with several Children’s Law Center clients, testified before the DC Council in support of sweeping special education reforms. The testimony included stories of parents’ struggles to get their children the special education services they badly need, and the barriers they came up against in DC Public Schools and Public Charter Schools. Spearheaded by Councilmember David Catania, the reforms were helped shaped by Children’s Law Center.
