Allie Federoff

As a supervising attorney in the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program, Allie supervises staff attorneys who provide comprehensive legal representation to children in D.C.’s abuse and neglect system. Allie also carries a partial caseload of neglect, custody, and education cases. She joined the GAL Program in 2014 as a staff attorney. Allie is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center’s L.L.M. program, where she teaches U.S. Legal Research and Writing to lawyers who received their law degrees outside of the United States. While in law school, Allie worked as a student attorney in the Juvenile Justice Clinic representing children charged with delinquency offenses. She also had legal internships at Children’s Law Center, Advocates for Children of New York, and Kids in Need of Defense. She was a Public Interest Fellow and the recipient of the Juvenile Justice Clinic Public Service Award. Prior to law school, Allie was a third grade teacher in the Bronx, NY for three years. She is proficient in Spanish.
