Brenda Dorvil

Brenda Dorvil is an investigator supporting both the Healthy Together and Pro Bono teams. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center, Brenda served in public, governmental and international sectors addressing educational, economic, health, and racial inequities. Most recently, Brenda served as an AmeriCorps Member promoting and advocating for educational equity for diverse student populations in the Southeast DC community. While earning her degree, Brenda supported Florida State University’s Center for the Advancement of Human Rights through her unwavering commitment to tackling human rights violations. Brenda recalls her most impactful experience as a Human Rights Project Coordinator with the NGO Patriots Ghana, where she led an anti child-trafficking initiative in Accra, Ghana. She hopes to continue to do the important work of advocating for children and residents of DC experiencing inequities.
