Jabeen Adawi

Jabeen Adawi is the Families Together Director for Children’s Law Center. In this role she draws from her civil litigation and clinical education background to lead the Families Together team in providing legal assistance to parents seeking to improve their children’s lives. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center in 2025, Jabeen was a clinical professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, leading the Family Empowerment and Legal Access Clinic, and a teaching fellow at Georgetown Law Center’s Domestic Violence Clinic. In her career, she has written, spoken, and worked on access to justice projects, holistic legal services, and special immigrant juvenile status. Specifically, Jabeen led the creation of the Victim Legal Network of DC – a robust legal referral network project at Volare. She has held non-profit board positions including the National Association of Muslim Lawyers, and the Next Wave Muslim Initiative to support upcoming generations of Muslim American young persons. Jabeen speaks Urdu and Hindi.
