James Gallagher

James Gallagher is a Staff Attorney on the Healthy Together medical-legal partnership at Children’s Law Center. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center in 2023, James worked in private practice in New Jersey, specializing in advocating for individuals with disabilities and their families. This included representing clients in special education, guardianship, adult services, and estate planning matters. In law school, James worked as a student attorney for two semesters in the Disability Rights Law Clinic. Additionally, he served as a Note & Comment Editor on the Administrative Law Review, and authored a Comment on the intersection of race, disability, and restraint and seclusion in D.C. public schools.
