Katherine Piggott-Tooke
Katherine is a member of CLC’s Appellate Project and a supervising attorney in the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program. Within the GAL Program, Katherine supervises staff attorneys that provide comprehensive representation for youth in the child welfare system. In her appellate capacity, Katherine handles and supervises appeals arising in a variety of family law proceedings and works with attorneys throughout CLC to assess and advance the organization’s long-term strategy on systemic issues. In addition, Katherine regularly consults on complex trial level litigation, often advising on how to create the best record possible from an appellate perspective. Prior to joining Children’s Law Center in 2012, Katherine served as a law clerk at the D.C. Superior Court.
