Lori Sher

Morgan Stanley

Lori Sher is Managing Director and General Counsel – Corporate for Morgan Stanley responsible for advising the MS parent company and its U.S. Banks. She oversees strategic transactions, corporate governance, bank regulatory, global regulatory change and ESG legal for the firm. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Ms. Sher served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to E*TRADE Financial overseeing the Legal, Regulatory Relations and Human Resources functions. Lori is a member of the Morgan Stanley Global Wellbeing Board and Co-chairs the firm’s ESG Committee. She also sits on the Board of The Women’s Center, the Tulane DC Alumni Board and the Advisory Council for STEM for Her. Ms. Sher earned her BA from Emory University, her MS from American University, and her JD from Tulane Law School. Ms. Sher is a music lover, runner and enjoys entertaining and connecting people. She has two children, one on a college track and the other will graduate from a special needs program at the Arlington VA Career Center.
