Ona Alston Dosunmu

Ona Alston Dosunmu is the President & C.E.O. of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA). Ona is a seasoned strategic executive who integrates her varied and extensive professional and volunteer experiences, ability to build and lead teams, and her legal background to support the mission of NACUA, which is to advance the effective practice of higher education attorneys for the benefit of the colleges and universities they serve. Prior to NACUA, Ona was the inaugural Executive Director and CEO of the California Lawyers Association, and prior to CLA, she had a 16-year career at the Brookings Institution where she served as Vice President, Secretary, and General Counsel. While at Brookings, as chair of Brookings’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee, Ona worked with colleagues across the Institution to strengthen the organization’s culture and to advance women and other people who have been historically under-represented at Brookings and organizations like it.
