Roland Goss

Rollie is a Special Counsel who works with Children’s Law Center’s pro bono, appellate and policy groups. He retired from a large law firm at the end of 2020, where he had a practice that included defending insurance companies in class actions and other complicated and high impact litigation, complicated trials, appeals, counseling insurance companies on reinsurance for catastrophe risks and writing amicus briefs for trade associations. He had an active pro bono practice dating back to his early practice in Florida concentrating on the needs of at-risk children, including over 30 adoptions, custodies and other foster care-related activities and participating in permanency reviews as a special master for Florida courts. Rollie has accepted pro bono referrals from CLC for over 20 years and was named Laura N. Rinaldi Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year by the D.C. Bar in 2016.
