Shirelle Kouyate

Shirelle is the Family Outreach Worker whose primary role is to promote client access to and engagement with Children’s Law Center’s legal services. Prior to her work at Children’s Law Center Shirelle was a Family Social Services Worker for DCPS Head Start Program providing wrap around services to an annual case load of over 100 socio-economically disadvantaged District of Columbia families. Also, Shirelle is the mother, legal guardian and activist for a destitute adult diagnosed with autism.
Education:
Currently re-enrolled in The University of Maryland Global Campus completing courses in Diversity Awareness and Disability Studies. Pursuing completion of her BS in Psychology, with an anticipated graduation date Fall 2022.
