Vanessa Sapp

Vanessa Sapp is a staff attorney on the Families Together team, where she provides critical legal advocacy to low-income families at risk of entering the abuse and neglect system in the District of Columbia. Vanessa previously worked on the Guardian ad Litem team at Children’s Law Center, representing children in abuse and neglect cases. Before joining Children’s Law Center in 2023, Vanessa worked as a child protective services investigator for the Florida Department of Children and Families and Arlington County Department of Human Services. As a law school student at Florida Coastal School of Law, Vanessa interned at the Public Defender’s Office for the 4^th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
