2025-26 Oversight Testimony: Office of the State Superintendent for Education
Senior Policy Attorney Danielle Robinette testified at the Committee of the Whole performance oversight hearing regarding the Office of the State Superintendent for Education (OSSE). She urged the District to develop a comprehensive plan focused on the needs of students with disabilities, noting that OSSE is well-positioned to lead this work in collaboration other government agencies and community partners. She also pointed to ways that OSSE could be more proactive in guiding and supporting DC’s education sector in order to make the most of existing resources and programming and improve education outcomes for DC students.
