FY23 Budget Testimony: DC Health
Children’s Law Center Policy Attorney Leah Castelaz testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Health at the DC Health budget hearing. In particular, she noted the important ways that DC Health’s programs and services impact the health and well-being of DC children and urged the Council to ensure the District’s FY23 budget includes an additional $300,000 for HealthySteps DC and funding for three additional FTEs for the Health Professional Licenses Administration to mitigate behavioral health workforce shortages.
