FY23 Budget Testimony: Metropolitan Police Department
Children’s Law Center Policy Attorney Danielle Robinette testified before the DC Council’s Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety at the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD)’s budget hearing. Noting that many of our young clients have had harmful experiences with police in their schools, Danielle urged the Committee to reject the Mayor’s proposed legislation that would repeal the phase-out of SROs from DC public schools.
