2022-23 Oversight Testimony: Child and Family Services Agency

Children’s Law Center Policy Director Sharra E. Greer testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Facilities and Family Services about the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA), noting the positive changes CFSA has made to keep children with their families and provide family-strengthening services whenever possible. Sharra also called on the Council and CFSA to match their investment in prevention with efforts to meet the needs of children who have been removed from their families and to work with sister agencies to help youth address the complex and ongoing trauma that often comes with being in foster care.
