2022-23 Oversight Testimony: Metropolitan Police Department

Children’s Law Center Policy Analyst Danielle Robinette testified before the DC Council’s Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety about the DC Metropolitan Police Department. Noting that the School Resource Officer phase out was the result of careful and deliberate work by the Committee, the Police Reform Commission, and dedicated community advocates, she called on the Committee to preserve the phase out of harmful school policing and invest in the supports that students need.
