FY25 Budget Testimony: Office of the Attorney General

Danielle Robinette, Senior Policy Attorney, testified before the Committee on the Judiciary & Public Safety at the FY25 budget oversight hearing for the Office of the Attorney General.

Our testimony praises pre-existing programs currently in place at OAG such as the Addressing Truancy Through Engagement and Negotiated Dialogue (ATTEND) program. We urge the committee to Ensure OAG’s Attendance Programs Can Continue Supporting Students and Families

To address chronic absenteeism and student disengagement, the Council will need make smart investments in programs that are best suited to support DC students and families while also ensuring that existing supports are not lost during the transition period.
