FY27 Budget Testimony: DC Health
Senior Policy Attorney Leah Castelaz testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Health at the budget oversight hearing for the Department of Health. Our testimony discusses the need to adequately fund programs under the department’s jurisdiction, including the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, Healthy Homes, HealthySteps, Home Visiting, and DC Map. We also highlight the need to fund the integration of Community Health Workers and the need to maintain the city’s investment in the Child Behavioral Health Services Dashboard Act.
