FY16 Budget Testimony: Department of Behavioral Health
On April 15, 2015, Judith Sandalow, executive director of the Children’s Law Center, testified at the Department of Behavioral Health hearing on Mayor Boswer’s FY16 budget. In the testimony, Children’s Law Center expresses concern that DBH’s overall proposed budget has decreased by 1.5% and the budget for children’s programs and services remains essentially flat. However, she also pointed out that, even with a flat budget, significant progress can be made in improving the District’s children’s mental health system.
