Testimony: Department of Health Care Finance Oversight (FY16)
Executive Director Judith Sandalow testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Health & Human Services regarding the Department of Health Care Finance’s (DHCF) FY 2015 performance. DHCF is the District’s Medicaid agency. With almost every one of Children’s Law Center’s clients a Medicaid beneficiary, DHCF plays a vital role in their lives.
In her testimony, Judith highlights the Department’s continued progress under the leadership of Director Wayne Turnage. She focuses her discussion on three main areas:
- Improved utilization of mental health services;
- Integration of primary care with developmental and behavioral health care; and
- Increased Medicaid funding for early intervention.
