FY15 Budget Testimony: Department of Health Budget

Children’s Law Center testified at the 2014 budget hearing regarding the Mayor’s FY15 budget for the DC Department of Health (DOH). More information about the hearing is available on the Council website.

Executive Director Judith Sandalow’s testimony focused on home visiting, specifically, the importance of ensuring the financial sustainability of the District’s home visiting programs, as well as the need to ensure the continued expansion of home visiting so that these programs reach all families who can benefit from them. Children’s Law Center applauded the Mayor’s proposed investment to replace expiring federal funds for home visiting, and urged the council to approve this investment.
