Testimony: Department of Healthcare Finance Oversight (FY15)
On March 9, 2015, Rebecca Brink, senior policy attorney at Children’s Law Center testified at the Department of Healthcare Finance performance oversight hearing. She advocated for a number of changes to improve the Medicaid program and that ensure all children in the program receive easily accessible high quality care.
Some of the specific changes urged were:
- Increased oversight of MCOs;
- Improve children’s utilization of mental health services and ensure accurate data by which to measure progress;
- Improve the case management services of MCOS in a way that improves the quality of services as well as the number of beneficiaries receiving the service.
