Testimony: Deputy Mayor for Education Oversight (FY16)
Policy Director Sharra Greer testified before the DC Council’s Committee on Education regarding the Deputy Mayor for Education’s (DME) FY 2015 performance. The DME’s role is to oversee the District-wide education strategy and manage interagency coordination. Sharra focused her testimony on three areas where the DME should play a key role in coordination and strategy: school engagement, school-based mental health and cross-sector collaboration.
