Testimony: Housing is Maternal Health Amendment Act of 2024

Policy Attorney Makenna Osborn testified before the Committee on Housing on behalf of the Housing is Maternal Health Amendment Act of 2024 (B25-0945). Children’s Law Center supports this legislation, which will amend the definition of “family” under DC law to include pregnant people in their second trimester, because it is an important step toward ensuring that all pregnant people in the District have access to stable housing throughout their pregnancy and postpartum period.
