Testimony: The Status of Home Visiting Services in the District
Children’s Law Center attorney Aubrey Edwards-Luce recently testified about the Status of Home Visiting Services in the District. We are testifying about this legislation because we have advocated for continued investigation and investment in home visiting programs for many years, because home visiting is an important piece of the District’s child abuse and neglect prevention services array. We know from our work that children have the best chance to avoid contact with the child abuse and neglect system when their parents and caregivers are fully supported and equipped to meet their needs.
