Student Fair Access to School Act of 2017 Testimony
The children we advocate for at Children’s Law Center are disproportionately impacted by school suspensions and expulsions—children of color, children with disabilities and children in foster care. We regularly serve children who are sent home from school instead of receiving the educational supports they need to stay in the classroom and continue learning. Executive Director Judith Sandalow testifies about how passing the Student Fair Access to School Act of 2017 would have a positive impact for DC children.
